Bottle gourd, when cooked and eaten, is loaded with health benefit, it is cooling, diuretic and antibilious. However, bottle gourd should not be eaten raw as it is not really good for the gut and the intestine. A glass of fresh juice mixed with lime juice gives relief in case of urinary infections. Since it is alkaline in nature, it helps those suffering from highly acidic urine. Drinking this juices also helps those suffering from excessive diarrhea, diabetes etc. the cooked leaves of bottle gourd are also beneficial in the treatment of insomnia.


Eat 3 square meals a day with healthy snacks in between.
